When I get to my knitting needles I feel good! I melt away in a comfy couch, I am more relaxed, I tend to forget about all my day tasks and problems, and focus just on one thing – my knitting project. It is so ocupying that you are totaly present at what you are doing. So, I kind of knew that kntting and crochet are good for your well being, but I didn’t know that there is a scientific evidence and research done on this topic until I saw this video.

My students that have tried knitting or crochet for the first time told me that they feel more present to what they are doing, more relaxed, and more satisfying at what they are making. They also mentioned that they cannot snack all the time as their hands are busy. Knitting is amazing for kids to develop their fine motor skills. It is good for older adults as well as it promotes better blood circulation in hands and joints. I am sure you can find a benefit of knitting and crochet at any age. So just keep knitting…
